Dirkels Soundtrack – Official Release

By Jeremiah Pena | Published January 25th, 2010

I had the pleasure to score the upcoming release of the game Dirkels (It won’t be out for a while). I got tired of waiting for the game to come out to release the soundtrack, so I’m doing so now.

Note: The two unofficial tracks were tracks that were not used in the game.

Beyond the Window

By Jeremiah Pena | Published January 12th, 2010

People’s reaction to Overtaken, was generally that they really liked it, but found it much too short. I thought it was too short as well. So I have composed a sequel (if I can call it that) of Overtaken, called Beyond the Window. I am officially stating that this is my best music I have ever composed in the history of me composing music.

I went for an emotional approach with this song. It starts off darkly, but then moves into a short solo piano section, before going into a 60 second emotional build up to full orchestra. Here’s the song:

Overtaken

By Jeremiah Pena | Published January 8th, 2010

After my little trance  break, I’m back to doing orchestral music. I just finished what is some of the best music I’ve written. I decided to do an interesting move here, and use a solo viola throughout much of the song. And big drums in the big section. I love big drums!!! Anyway, it gets pretty epic about halfway through, which is probably the most epic music I’ve ever done. So, take a listen! (Click the song link to stream it in-browser)

Virzu

By Jeremiah Pena | Published January 6th, 2010

I think the trance bug still has me. My break from orchestral lasted a little longer than I expected it to, but I can feel the need to write orchestra coming back. Anyway, I finished another trance song today. This one is named Virzu, sort of half keeping to tradition. In my opinion, it is my best electronic music I have ever composed. It puts TriJourney, Nextro, Sterzo, Inxtro, and Quelxtro all to shame. Here it is:

Completely off subject, I’ve been thinking of adding Google Friend Connect integration into this site, so that you can log in/comment/follow with your Google/Blogger account. Tell me what you think of that idea as well.

Also completely off subject (but on the subject of the previous off subject section), I’ve been thinking of adding Facebook integration into this site, so that you can log in/comment/follow with your Facebook account. Tell me what you think of that idea as well.
