1 Year Anniversary

By Jeremiah Pena | Published January 1st, 2010

Today, January 1st, 2010, marks the 1 year anniversary of JeremiahPena.com. I’m amazed how the site has grown over this past year, especially the forum, with a great community there (and an incredible 13,979 posts). The strange thing is that I have no idea what to write here besides that, so this is probably going to be very short.

Well, I hope the next year is going to be a good one. And I will attempt to stick to my New Year’s resolution of posting a lot more. At least twice a week. So, goodbye, till later.

Zune HD

By Jeremiah Pena | Published December 26th, 2009

Christmas is a great time of the year. There’s the great family stuff, but also great presents (most of the time). This year was no exception, and I got one of the greatest presents I have ever recieved. A Zune HD.

Even after having my Zune HD for slightly over 24 hours, I absolutely love of. It is the best portable media player I have ever used. I am even typing this blog post on the device’s web browser, which is incredible as well. And the auto-correct feature is a lifesaver! Well, it hasn’t saved my life, but you know what I mean.

On to the topic of New Year Resolutions, I’m setting a goal to do blog posts more often. I sometimes look back at my number of previous posts, and see the measly number of them. I should do them much more often.

Now that I can do posts from anywhere I have a wifi connection, I’m planning on doing them more often.

Also, feel free to brag about what gifts you recieved in the comments!

New Music Project – Dirkels

By Jeremiah Pena | Published September 21st, 2009

School + Band + Seminary + Piano + Lots of Walking = Really Busy! Add to that trying to compose an entire game soundtrack, and you start seeing explosions and stuff breaking! Well, not really, but it seems like it. I’ve been so busy over the past month with everything I have to do. But I’m now back from my hiatus, and I’m promising more frequent info releases.

I’ve been sort of ignoring this site for a while. Trying to get an entire site back to how it used to be, after being destroyed, is a quite large task. The thought of having to add all the pages back, edit all the content, add music and videos, and do blog posts just makes me faint in the fingers and brain.

But, on a much better note, I have my first large game music project, Dirkels. Dirkels is a medieval platformer RPG, with lots of fighting, quests, and other cool stuff. It’s going through a large remake, and when it comes back, will have music by me. I’m writing all the music for the game. So far I’ve composed the Main Theme (some of my best work), and the Tadari Theme. The music so far ranges from playful, celtic style, to dark, brass filled sequences and epic action type music.

I’ve gone through over 4 rewrites of the main theme, and have finally arrived on the final version. I’ve got some more songs to complete soon also. The game is set to come out November, so I really need to hurry, but with all the other stuff I have to do, it’s difficult.

I’ll have some teasers of the music up soon, and once the game comes out, I’ll probably be releasing a downloadable soundtrack.

Well, now that that is out of the way, I have something very strange coming in the next sentence! I use a lot of commas. Yeah. I just figured that out. If you look at some of the sentences higher up, they’re highly comma-filled. I don’t know if that is good, or bad. At least it gives people who read out loud the chance to breath a lot.
